A global dance family, built one salsa and bachata class at a time.
Kristian began his dance journey in March 2012, when a friend convinced him to try salsa. He thought he'd try it for a few months. A month in, he was in the studio every day. He advanced through the student, semi-pro and pro teams, performed at salsa events, and trained in Boston, Providence, Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx before co-directing Yamulee Project Boston and founding Tumbao Latin Dance.
Kristian teaches social dancing as a conversation between partners. By helping students understand the mechanics and signals of leading and following, he helps them find their own voice and style on the dance floor. He also shares Latin culture through dance in schools, colleges, universities and businesses throughout central Massachusetts.

Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Rachel took her first salsa and bachata lesson in 2009 and has performed on pro teams in Asia and Boston. Ask her about following technique and lady styling.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico with 13 years of artistic experience, Jennyann found Tumbao on social media, joined the Enkanto team, and now leads the Kndela Ladies Team.

David found his perfect fit at Tumbao in 2023 and quickly fell in love with performing on the team. A hairstylist of 20 years, he loves encouraging people to take the leap into dance.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Edmy has danced flamenco since 2001 and has more than 10 years of teaching and performing in the Worcester-Boston area.
